Conference News is reporting a new regional convention bureau: Meet Bristol & Bath. It has just been created to help attract conferences and events to the region.

Meet Bristol & Bath will target a global audience and is looking to develop the association, corporate and incentive travel businesses worldwide.

New projects planned in the region which will no doubt feature in the Meet Bristol & Bath portfolio include:

The YTL Arena Bristol which is due to open in 2023. The Arena will feature three interlinked arenas including a flexible hall with 11,000sq-mt of floor space for exhibitions, trade shows and conventions plus a 17,080-seat arena.

Ashton Gate Stadium, home of Bristol City Football Club, is aiming to develop a state of the art 4,000 capacity sports and convention centre, adjacent to their existing venue. The development will include a 4-star hotel.

New hotels scheduled to open in Bristol over the next few years include the Leonardo Hotel Bristol Glassfields scheduled to open in 2021 with 200 bedrooms and a new 255-bedroom Clayton Hotel scheduled to open in early 2022. Both will feature extensive meeting and events facilities.

Meanwhile in Bath the new Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein visitor attraction opens this Spring. This will include an escape room experience for groups.
