Hotel group, Best Western, will consider turning its hotels into temporary hospitals if the NHS needs additional bedspace during the Coronavirus outbreak.
Empty hotels across the country resulting from the health crisis would help ease the pressure on hospitals that are rapidly filling up with patients.
Government Health Minister, Mike Hancock, said that he was “open to all options” with hotels offering “ready-built facilities for looking after people”.
Best Western now has over 250 hotels in Great Britain, with almost 15,000 bedrooms – a number which is constantly growing.
