Plans to build a new hotel near the NEC in Birmingham have been recommended for approval. Final approval is expected this week.
The new hotel would be a Hampton by Hilton hotel. It would have 203 bedrooms. The hotel would service a wide range of future investments in the area including the HS2 high-speed rail link at the Birmingham Interchange, the NEC Masterplan, the UK Central Hub and the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The Hampton by Hilton hotel would be built in the grounds of its sister hotel - the Hilton Metropole at the Birmingham NEC.
