The Gostin's Building is a Liverpool landmark and now apprLiverpool Drugstore to become a Hoteloval has just been granted to convert it into a hotel.
Gostin's Building was built for Ayrton Saunders and Co, a drugstore wholesaler who occupied it until the 1990s when it became a furniture store and warehouse.
New owners, the Fattal Group, have been given the green light to convert the building into a 207-bedroom NYX by Leonardo Hotel – the group’s "lifestyle concept" hotel brand. The new hotel will also include a two-storey rooftop extension
The Gostin's Building is located within Liverpool's World Heritage Site and the Duke Street Conservation Area. It is also part of the Liverpool One development.
NYX by Leonardo Hotel will become the fourth hotel in the group joining the former 201-bedroom Grange Holborn which relaunched in May plus a planned new build 261-bedroom NYX in Birmingham and a conversion of a listed building adjacent to the Edinburgh Jurys Inn.
