Plans have been published for a new hotel in the centre of Cardiff.
The hotel would be created by adapting and adding two new storeys to the top of the Queens West Shopping Centre, a Grade II-listed site in the Cardiff's main shopping street.
The building is currently subdivided into a number of retail and food/drink units plus a gym on the second floor.
Plans would see part of the existing building extended upwards to a total of five storeys with the new hotel occupying the top two storeys whilst retaining the majority of the existing retail and food and drink outlets on the lower floors.
A 166 bedroom together with a restaurant and bar are planned. The application is currently being considered by Cardiff City Council.
