Plans have been approved to convert a former department store in the centre of Oxford into a four-star luxury hotel.
Boswells department store in the city centre closed after the first lockdown last year. In its place the building is to be converted into the Store Hotel.
The Store Hotel will have 101 bedrooms and will also include a restaurant and bar on the ground floor, a new rooftop terrace plus a basement gym.
Store Hotel will also feature a co-working area.
Boswells had traded in Oxford since the mid-eighteenth century before shutting last year, blaming "adverse retail conditions".
No anticipated opening dates have been published.
