German-based Ruby Hotels group is planning its fourth hotel in London. The group plan to launch it in Southwark in early 2024. The new Ruby Hotel in Southwark is to be built in a new public space called “Friars Yard” in Blackfriars Road.
Ruby Hotel in Southwark will have 169 bedrooms over seven floors, ranging in size from cosy ‘Nest’ rooms to expansive ‘Loft’ rooms. It will feature a 24-hour bar, café and lounge on the ground floor.
Ruby Hotel in Southwark will be a short walk from Tate Modern, the Southbank, Borough Market and Southwark tube station and around ten minutes from London Waterloo Station.
Ruby Hotel in Southwark will join stablemates Ruby Lucy on the South Bank which opened in 2020, Ruby Zoe which is due open in Notting Hill early 2023 and Ruby Stella in Clerkenwell also planned to open in 2023. When Ruby Hotel in Southwark opens it will bring the total group capacity to 571 hotel rooms in London.
