Travelodge hotels are set to get a major revamp with new 'luxe' hotel rooms being rolled out this year, as well as updates to hotels' receptions and restaurants.
The budget hotel chain is giving 60 of its UK hotels a makeover this year.
Rooms are going to be given a completely "new budget-luxe premium look". The rooms will feature king-sized beds with bedside reading lights and USB charging points. Rooms will also include a large desk and chair, a separate armchair, a TV with Freeview, and complimentary tea and coffee facilities.
The Bar Cafés at Travelodge will include dedicated zones for both business guests and holidaymakers, including counter seating, booths and dining benches for larger groups.
Five hotels are currently undergoing the makeover including London's Southwark, Vauxhall and Wembley hotels plus Southampton hotel and Thame hotel.
It's anticipated that their revamp will be finished by the end of the April.
