An application to build a 12-storey aparthotel on land owned by a furniture store in Birmingham has been recommended for approval. The site is a car park owned by the store, Lee Longlands, who are planning to relocate their business.
The car park is located just off Broad Street at the corner of Tennant Street and Granville Street in Birmingham’s Westside - a short walk from the city centre and Birmingham New Street Station.
The project, known as Lead Works, would comprise a reception, a restaurant and café plus 198 bedrooms over eleven floors.
The plans await final approval by Birmingham City Council planners.
