Plans have just been published to transform the former Watt Brothers department store in Glasgow into a £20 million boutique hotel. The shop located on the corner of Bath Street and Sauchiehall Street in the centre of Glasgow went into administration in October 2019.
Plans published for the art-deco styled property would see it turn into a mixed-use development with retail sites on the ground floor and a 125-bedroom hotel above. The plans also propose an additional floor to accommodate more bedrooms.
The plans have been submitted by entrepreneur brothers Sandy and James Easdale who also own McGills Buses in Glasgow.
