Plans for a new hotel in Swansea have just been approved. The project will see the transformation of a Grade II-listed Georgian townhouse on Swansea's Maritime Square into the Georgian Swansea Hotel.
The new hotel will sit in Swansea’s Maritime Conservation Area.
The Georgian townhouse, in Prospect Place, is part of a historic terrace in Swansea and is amongst the oldest properties in the city.
The ground floor of the townhouse is currently in use as a restaurant and bar. Rooms on the first, second and third floors which are in residential use, will be converted into stylish new hotel bedrooms featuring Georgian fireplaces, double showers, a roll-top bath and views across to Swansea Museum. The new hotel will also feature function space.
A 2020 opening date is anticipated for The Georgian Swansea Hotel.
