Plans have been unveiled for a new hotel on a science and business park in Newcastle on Tyne. A seven-storey hotel with 160 bedrooms is set to be developed on the Newcastle Helix site which is close to Newcastle United's St James' Park stadium.
The new hotel would fly the Moxy Hotel flag – part of the Marriott group. This will be the first Moxy Hotel in the North East
Newcastle Helix business park is located on the site of a former brewery and includes university buildings as well as offering a base for science, tech and healthcare businesses.
The scheme is subject to planning permission from Newcastle City Council. If all goes to plan the new Moxy Hotel is looking to open its doors in late 2021.
