Plans for a new hotel which would form an integral part of Sheffield's Heart of the City II scheme are being opened for public consultation.
The new hotel would be branded a Radisson Blu. It would be built in two blocks separated by a new courtyard. One block would be housed in the 19th century Palatine Chambers in Pinstone Street with the other, a new connecting building on the site of Barkers Pool House on Burgess Street.
Radisson Blu Sheffield would have 154 bedrooms, conference and events facilities, a restaurant and bar as well as a rooftop bar and restaurant with views of the Peace Gardens and Winter Gardens.
Subject to planning approval, construction is due to start later this year with the opening of the hotel targeted for 2023.
