EventCity to close
Covid 19 has ‘claimed the scalp’ of EventCity in Manchester. Trafford Council have taken the decision to close EventCity by 31st March 2021.
The decision has been forced on the Council by the economic contraction, particularly in the events and hospitality sectors, created by the Covid virus.
EventCity is one of the North's largest, blank canvas exhibition and events spaces. It comprises four halls with a combined capacity of about 300,000 sq ft. EvenCity caters for exhibitions, conferences, gala dinners and meetings.
The decision means that plans for a new facility at EventCity, which were approved by Trafford Council in February of this year, will no longer go ahead.
