Two new Locke Aparthotel coming
Hospitality operator Edyn is planning to open two new Locke Aparthotels in 2021, one in London and one in Cambridge.
In London, Kingsland Locke, located in Dalston, has recently opened. Kingsland Locke aparthotel includes 124 contemporary-styled studio apartments as well as complimentary co-working space, an on-site microbrewery and gin distillery, an all-day restaurant and coffee shop plus a workout studio.
Kingsland Locke is located in Kingsland High Street, a three-minute walk from Dalston Kingsland station.
Meanwhile, Turing Locke Aparthotel in Cambridge will feature 180 contemporary studio apartments along with a seasonal rooftop terrace and courtyard, an all-day restaurant, a cocktail bar and coffee shop, retail space, a co-working area, a workout studio plus meeting space. It is scheduled to open in September 2021.
Turing Locke is located two miles north-west of Cambridge centre. It does have its own car park with electric charging points. Alternatively, it is a short taxi, bike or Park & Ride journey to the centre of Cambridge.

Planned 2024 opening for The Chancery Rosewood
The Chancery Rosewood is the proposed name of the new hotel which will be housed in the former US Embassy in London’s Mayfair. The Chancery Rosewood will be operated by Rosewood Hotels and Resorts and is expected to open in 2024.
The former Embassy building is a Grade II-listed building which opened in 1960. It housed the US Embassy until 2017.
The Chancery Rosewood will include 139 bedrooms and suites, restaurants, bars and leisure facilities plus a 750-capacity ballroom together with supporting meeting and events suites.
The Chancery Rosewood will be Rosewood's second hotel in London. It will join the five-star Rosewood London located in Holborn.

New hotel planned just off Brighton seafront
A new hotel could be built just off the Brighton seafront, behind the Hilton Metropole Hotel.
Owners of the Brighton Metropole Hotel have secured planning approval to replace the existing exhibition and conference halls with a nine-storey hotel with 221 bedrooms.
The proposed scheme involves demolishing the exhibitions halls and replacing them with a nine-storey hotel with 221 bedrooms. The façade of the Grade II-listed building would be retained
Dalata Hotels group will operate the hotel whilst Hilton Hotels will continue to run the Hilton Metropole Hotel.

New events venue in central London
The Holmes Hotel in London’s Marylebone has just opened ‘The Residence’ – a new events venue within the hotel.
The Residence is a self-contained events space which will sit alongside Holmes Hotel’s existing meeting and events facilities - designed around the “ethos and etiquette of the historic townhouse”.
The Residence consists of five versatile rooms: The Pantry, The Billiard Room, The Laboratory, The Conservatory and The Cellar. Together the rooms will seat up to 130 delegates when hired together for exclusive use.
Each room is equipped with the latest AV technology including interactive LCD screens, web cams, wi-fi and floor-to-ceiling whiteboards. There are two additional spaces – The Library and the Telegraph Room - designed for private moments or discreet phone calls.
Holmes Hotel London is an 18th-century Georgian townhouse located in Chiltern Street, Marylebone. It was formerly Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes London before PPHE group rebranded the hotel as a premium boutique hotel. Holmes Hotel London has 118 bedrooms, three meeting and events spaces, a gym and an all-day restaurant.

‘Beaky Blinders’ site set for a new hotel
Plans have just been approved for a major new development in Birmingham. The £130million development will include an eight-storey, 167-bedroom hotel as well as residential accommodation and commercial space.
The development is destined for a four-acre site at Camp Hill near Digbeth, close to the centre of Birmingham and now famous as the film location of the hit TV series ‘Peaky Blinders’.
We will monitor its progress and report accordingly.

May opening for Yorkshire hotel
A major new-build hotel development is set to open in North Yorkshire in mid-May 2021.
Sandburn Hall Hotel will open on a 1,000-acre site just off the A64, near Castle Howard, between York and the coast.
The site already includes an 18-hole championship golf course and a restaurant
Sandburn Hall Hotel will include 40 bedrooms including two suites. Meeting and events facilities include the Grand Function Hall seating 200 delegates theatre style, the Sanderson Room seating 80 theatre style and a Sports Hall with 62ft x 112ft of exhibition space.
Team building events can also be hosted in the hotel grounds.
