The Tamburlaine Hotel becomes Clayton Hotel Cambridge
On the 25th February 2020, The Tamburlaine Hotel began its changeover to Clayton Hotel Cambridge.
The four-star Tamburlaine Hotel in Cambridge was opened in 2017 by its original owners, O’Callaghan Hotel Group. It has since been sold to Dalata Hotel Group who are rebranding the hotel as Clayton Hotel Cambridge.
Clayton Hotel Cambridge has 155 bedrooms, a restaurant and bar. There are seven meeting rooms, all fully equipped with the latest technology and free wi-fi, accommodating groups from 12 up to 150 delegates.
Leisure facilities at Clayton Hotel Cambridge include a gym with a range of cardiovascular and bodybuilding equipment.
Clayton Hotel Cambridge is located right next to Cambridge Station, a ten minute walk from the centre of Cambridge and 20 minutes by train from London Stansted Airport.

Hotel Group to provide Film and TV locations
Hotel developer and operator, Signature Living, has signed an agreement with SPACE-2 allowing it to use its 18-site portfolio of hotels as film locations. SPACE-2 offers film makers commercial property for short-term/short notice activities as locations.
Signature Living's distinctive interiors as well as their range of heritage properties in city centres is attractive to film, TV and commercials producers. Their portfolio includes Shankly Hotel and 30 James Street Hotel both in central Liverpool plus 12 other properties. Hotels currently in development include the Dixie Dean Hotel and The Shankly Preston.
SPACE-2 have been involved in a range of television dramas and movies including: Avengers, Mission Impossible, The Bodyguard, Luther, Silent Witness and Killing Eve.
So now you will be better equipped to be one of those annoying people who spoil a film’s enjoyment for everyone else by identifying the real location of a scene as opposed to the drama’s fictional location.

Hampton by Hilton opening in Blackburn
‘Hampton by Hilton’ is coming to Lancashire. A new 150-bedroom Hampton by Hilton will be opening on Blackburn’s new Frontier Park £100million, 90-acre development situated at junction 6 of the M65 motorway.
On completion, the Frontier Park development will include around one million square feet of industrial and warehouse accommodation, motorway services plus a 1,400-delegate capacity conference and events centre.
Hampton by Hilton Blackburn is expected to open later this year.
Hampton by Hilton is aimed at "value-conscious" guests and is one of 15 Hilton brands. There are currently 28 Hampton by Hilton hotels in the UK, with a further 20 in the pipeline.

The Guardsman opening in London spring 2020
The Guardsman is a new luxurious, five-star hotel opening close Buckingham Palace in London in Spring 2020.
The Guardsman will have 53 bedrooms. All rooms will feature black and white marble bathrooms, walk-in showers, bespoke toiletries and custom furnishings.
The Guardsman will also have three floors housing six Residences. These will be apartment-like suites featuring full kitchens, a work area, a spacious open-plan layout and city views, along with concierge services.
The Guardsman will offer services including valets, private chefs, pre-arrival kitchen and pantry stocking, personalized unpacking and 24-hour room service.
‘The Dining Room’ is the restaurant at The Guardsman serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Relaxation areas at The Guardsman include The Drawing Room and an adjoining Library.
The Guardsman is located at Buckingham Gate, just south of St. James' Park in central London.

Hyatt Centric coming to Cambridge
The UK's first Hyatt Centric hotel is set to open in Cambridge in summer 2021. Hyatt Centric hotels are the group’s ‘lifestyle brand’ and Cambridge will be the seventh Hyatt Centric property in Europe.
Hyatt Centric Cambridge will have 150 bedrooms. The hotel will feature locally inspired design plus local retail and food offerings. Hyatt Centric Cambridge will provide bicycles for guests to rent so they can go forth and explore the university city of Cambridge during their stay.
Hyatt Centric Cambridge is part of the University of Cambridge’s development of Eddington, a new community northwest of Cambridge.
Alongside Hyatt Centric Cambridge there will also be a new Locke aparthotel with 180 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments plus a restaurant, cocktail bar, coffee shop, retail space, co-working facilities, meeting rooms and an events space.
The site will include 3,000 new residential units, retail facilities, a community and performance arts centre, sports fields, public parks, school and student accommodations, as well as academic and research facilities.
Further planned additions to the Hyatt UK portfolio include Hyatt Place London City East and Hyatt Regency Edinburgh Marina, expected to open in 2021.

Room2 to open in Fulham
Room2 is to open its first ‘hometel’ at the restored Fulham Town Hall in London.
Fulham Town Hall by Room2 will comprise 90 bedrooms and most will have kitchenettes. It will also feature a mix of events and co-working space as well as food and beverage offerings.
Fulham Town Hall is a Grade II-listed building. Renovation work is due to begin in May 2020. Room2 is scheduled to open late 2021.
Room2 plan to open 5000 hometel rooms across the UK by 2030. They are challenging what they consider to be ‘soulless’ corporate hotels and offering an innovative, relaxed and flexible alternative.
Other Room2 properties are planned with an 89-room hometel in Chiswick scheduled to open spring 2021, followed by a 59-room property in Manchester.
