The Signet Collection, a new boutique luxury hotel branding has just launched its first hotel – The Mitre Hampton Court.

The Mitre is a Grade II-listed property dating back to 1665. It was originally used as accommodation for guests of King Henry VIII at Hampton Court Palace.

Fast forward 300 years plus and the Mitre Hotel now has 36 bedrooms, a riverside restaurant and wine bar, a 70-seater brasserie restaurant and bar, a riverside terrace plus meeting and events space and private dining rooms.

The Mitre Hampton Court is around a 30 minute journey from London Heathrow and 40 minutes from central London.

Flat Cap Hotels have published plans to convert space at The Courthouse in Knutsford, Cheshire into hotel accommodation plus a restaurant and bar.

Flat Cap Hotels took over the Grade II-listed Courthouse building in 2016 and converted two courtrooms into meeting and banqueting space.

If plans are approved, the second phase would see the former jail cells converted into hotel bedrooms. New meeting and events space would also feature. The existing restaurant and bar would be refurbished, and a rooftop terrace added.

If all goes to plan the new facilities at Court House Knutsford could come on-stream next year.

Existing facilities at the Courthouse include two meeting and events suites: The Court Room with plenty of natural daylight will seat up to 180 delegates with the Moneypenny Suite alongside accommodating up to 100 delegates theatre style.

The Courthouse Knutsford is a short drive from the M6 at junction 19 as well as Manchester International Airport. It is around half a mile from Knutsford station.

The Grade II-listed Falcon Castle Ashby, a coaching inn located on the Castle Ashby estate in Northamptonshire has just reopened following completion of a restoration project on the inn – a property which first opened back in the sixteenth century.

The Falcon Castle Ashby has 22 totally refurbished and refashioned bedrooms.

‘Eyas’ is the restaurant at The Falcon Castle Ashby which serves, as far as possible, food from produce that has been grown, harvested and reared from within the Castle Ashby Estate.

Eyas Restaurant plus a private Dining Room, the Stables, the East Wing and the Cellar Bar are all available for private hire as events space.

Falcon at Castle Ashby has good access to M1 at junction 14. Northampton and Wellingborough stations with services to London Euston and London St. Pancras respectively are the nearest stations.

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel has just opened in the centre of Manchester. Kimpton is a boutique luxury brand from the IHG stable.

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel is housed a terracotta Grade II-listed building with a history dating back to 1890, when it first opened as The Refuge Assurance Company headquarters. A grand clock tower at its centre is a landmark on Manchester’s skyline.

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel has retained many of the building’s unique period features including glazed bricks, tiles, stained glass and carved wooden staircases.

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel has17 meeting rooms, all equipped with the latest technology. The Edwardian is the largest space seating from four to 1000 guests - it is the largest hotel ballroom in the northwest of England.

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel is located in the heart of the city, opposite Oxford Road Station and a10-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station. Kimpton-branded bikes are available for guests to hire free-of-charge.

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel is the brand’s fourth hotel to open in the UK. It joins Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel in London, Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow and Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel in Edinburgh.

Countrywide Hotels have just announced that they will be taking over the management of a further nine hotels from 1st October 2020. The properties range from hotels in the Cotswolds to hotels in North Yorkshire and Co Durham.

Countrywide Hotels will focus on repositioning the additional hotels, to bring them into line with their existing property portfolio, whilst ensuring individuality in each hotel.

Hotel Indigo Bath has just opened in an 18th century, Grade 1-listed Georgian terrace in the centre of Bath, Somerset.

Hotel Indigo Bath has 166 bedrooms each taking its design cues from the city’s surrounding Georgian architecture and the history of the local neighbourhood. These include ‘Romance & Mischief’ rooms, ‘Literary Hideaway’ rooms, ‘Georgian Architecture’ rooms, ‘Underground Vault’ rooms plus ‘Garden’ rooms in a newly built modern extension.

Hotel Indigo Bath has a dedicated meeting room for up to ten people. It is located in the hotel’s Private House, which has eight bedrooms and private dining and living spaces. It can be used solely as a meeting room, or for complete hire of the entire Georgian townhouse.

Hotel Indigo Bath is located in South Parade, a two minute a walk from Bath Spa station.
