Aston Villa Football Club, the greatest football club in the world according to my other half, has just published a £100million+ improvement plan for its Villa Park home in Birmingham.
The first phase will include a new North Stand connecting into an upgraded Trinity Stand which will see capacity for the stadium increase to over 50,000. The plans also include the introduction of ‘Villa Live’, a new commercial destination venue and community space.
The project has to go through various planning stages before the ‘spades hit the ground’ but the prospect of a top-class new venue on our doorstep is great news for us and our clients.
Staying in Birmingham, the Alexander Stadium is an international-standard athletics venue which is about to host the Commonwealth Games this August.
