Hyatt to open in Edinburgh
Hyatt Hotels group is set to open its first hotel in Scotland – Hyatt Centric Edinburgh Haymarket.
Hyatt Centric Edinburgh Haymarket will be a new-build hotel and will have 349 bedrooms and suites plus a gym and four meeting rooms.
Hyatt Centric Edinburgh Haymarket will feature ‘creative dining experiences’, including six different rotating street food brands which will change regularly and ‘reflect the spirit of Edinburgh’s local culinary scene.’
Hyatt Centric Edinburgh Haymarket will be located close to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC). It is set to open in mid-2025.

Travelodge plan six new hotels
Travelodge has unveiled plans to open six new UK hotels in 2022.
Four properties are located in London: Docklands, Lewisham, Peckham and Wimbledon plus new hotels in Braintree Essex and in Hexham in the North-East.
Three of the new Travelodge hotels will feature the group’s new premium ‘look and feel’ budget-luxe design. Locations include two sites in London at Docklands and Wimbledon plus the group’s new hotel in Hexham.
Travelodge is also developing its in-hotel restaurant business with a new upgraded Bar Café concept. All six new Travelodge hotels opening in 2022 will feature the group’s on-site restaurant.
Travelodge is planning to continue its expansion with plans for more than 75 new Travelodge hotels throughout the UK over the next five years.

Plans for a new hotel in Leicestershire
Plans have been submitted to convert a Grade II-listed building near Castle Donington in Leicestershire into a luxury hotel.
The building is the four-storey Donington Hall, complete with an attached chapel, mews buildings and coach house. Plans would see the listed building converted into a 44-bedroom country hotel, with the facility to host small meetings for around 30 delegates.
Donington Hall is set in the Donington Park Estate, which comprises around 1,100 acres of parkland, including the Donington Park racing circuit.
Plans have been submitted to North West Leicestershire District Council – we await developments.

July opening for new Liverpool Hotel
Legacy Hotels & Resorts is planning to open the new Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village hotel on 4th July this summer. With 16-storeys, Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village will be the highest hotel in the city centre and will be the flagship venue for the city’s £1bn Paddington Village development.
Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village has 221 bedrooms and suites with long-stay, apartment style accommodation available. All are equipped with air-conditioning, an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer, high speed wi-fi, tea and coffee making facilities, a mini-fridge, safe and a 55inch television.
Dining options at Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village include an on-site restaurant with panoramic views and a ground-floor coffee bar. There is also an on-site fully equipped gym.
Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village has three meeting rooms located on a dedicated floor. All have natural daylight and are equipped with the latest technology. The largest meeting room will seat up to 50 delegates theatre style.
Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village is located in the heart of Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter, minutes away from multiple University Campuses and transport links including Liverpool Lime Street Station.

Stratford on Avon Hotel reopens
The Arden Hotel in Stratford on Avon has just re-opened following completion of the first phase of a refurbishment project.
The reception area and the Brook Suite at The Arden Hotel have been revamped. The Club Bar with its private riverside terrace has also been refurbished.
The Arden Hotel is a member of the Eden Hotel Collection who are planning a second phase of works later in the year, refurbishing the bedrooms.
The Arden Hotel is a luxury four-star hotel with 45 bedrooms and suites, a restaurant and conference facilities for up to 40 delegates plus team-building facilities in their landscaped grounds.
The Arden Hotel is located in the heart of Stratford on Avon, opposite the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre.

Availability at Lancaster Conference Centre this summer
Lancaster Conference Centre part of Lancaster University has published its summer vacation dates: from 3 July until 19 September 2022. It is when Lancaster Conference Centre will have several big spaces and guest accommodation available to book during the vacation period.
Lancaster Conference Centre is located at the rear of Lancaster House Hotel also owned by Lancaster University. It is a dedicated and flexible venue with three large suites, each with room for 100 guests, together with a selection of meeting rooms, breakout areas and an open foyer area for registration or welcome sessions.
Lancaster Conference Centre is located around a three-minute drive from junction 33 of the M6 motorway and is within easy reach of Lancaster Station on the West Coast Mainline rail network.
