Wildhive is a new boutique hotel operator. They are planning to open their first hotel - Callow Hall  - in Derbyshire in summer 2021.

Callow Hall is a country house set in 35 acres of grounds, built in the mid-nineteenth century. It was converted into a hotel, operated by the Von Essen Group, in 1982.

Callow Hall has now undergone an extensive renovation. The main house comprises 15 bedrooms, with a further 11 one-bedroom Woodland Hives in the hotel grounds. These come complete with a bathroom and a kitchenette. Two treehouses will also feature on the site, each designed to ‘sit amongst the trees’ and geared for self-catering with open-plan sitting rooms and kitchens.

Callow Hall will feature a contemporary glass Garden Room serving breakfast through to dinner.

Callow Hall will also feature the Coach House Wellness Centre including a gym, a yoga studio, a sauna and steam room and treatment rooms. Bikes will also be available to hire.

Best of all Callow Hall will house 15 beehives in its grounds managed by the Derbyshire Bee Society. They will provide honey for the restaurant. Callow Hall’s kitchen garden will also provide seasonal vegetables and herbs.

Callow Hall is located in Derbyshire’s Peak District, on the edge of the Dove Valley on the outskirts of Ashbourne.
