Ruby planning number four
German-based Ruby Hotels group is planning its fourth hotel in London. The group plan to launch it in Southwark in early 2024. The new Ruby Hotel in Southwark is to be built in a new public space called “Friars Yard” in Blackfriars Road.
Ruby Hotel in Southwark will have 169 bedrooms over seven floors, ranging in size from cosy ‘Nest’ rooms to expansive ‘Loft’ rooms. It will feature a 24-hour bar, café and lounge on the ground floor.
Ruby Hotel in Southwark will be a short walk from Tate Modern, the Southbank, Borough Market and Southwark tube station and around ten minutes from London Waterloo Station.
Ruby Hotel in Southwark will join stablemates Ruby Lucy on the South Bank which opened in 2020, Ruby Zoe which is due open in Notting Hill early 2023 and Ruby Stella in Clerkenwell also planned to open in 2023. When Ruby Hotel in Southwark opens it will bring the total group capacity to 571 hotel rooms in London.

Palé Hall joins Pride of Britain
Palé Hall, an AA Five Red Star hotel overlooking Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, is the latest recruit to join the Pride of Britain collection.
Palé Hall has 18 bedrooms in the main house plus four garden suites within the grounds and features three dining spaces including the three AA Rosette, award winning Henry Robertson Dining Room.
Pride of Britain is a not-for-profit organisation representing some of the best independent hotels in Britain. The collection was formed in 1982 and Palé Hall, takes the Pride of Britain Collection up to 53 properties.

Hyde Hotel coming to London
Accor Hotels are bringing their ‘Hyde Hotel’ branding to London. Hyde Hotels are Accor’s global lifestyle brand.
The group plan to open its first European property in Old Bailey in central London. It will be named Hyde Paradox Hotel London City
Hyde Paradox Hotel London City will be based in a converted seven-storey 19th century building, a building originally known as the 'Spiers & Pond Hotel'. It was built as a hotel and converted to office use in the early 1900s. The latest re-conversion will return the building to the hotel that it once was.
Hyde Paradox Hotel London City will include 110 bedrooms and suites, two restaurants, meeting spaces and a ‘speakeasy’ bar - The Hyde brand originated as an LA nightclub in 2005 and currently has hotels in Hollywood Beach, Midtown Miami.
Hyde Paradox Hotel London City is scheduled to open in 2023.

Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel opens in central Glasgow
Formerly the Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor, the four-star hotel has undergone a rebranding and reopened in the New Year under new ownership, new management and with a new name - The Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel.
Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel has 97 bedrooms plus a restaurant and bar.
Meeting and events facilities at Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel include the main Grosvenor Suite seating up to 400 delegates theatre style. Three other meeting rooms will accommodate between 50 and 120 delegates theatre style with a boardroom seating 12 delegates completing the meeting and events package.
The Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel is located in a converted terrace of Venetian-style townhouses in Byres Road overlooking Glasgow Botanic Gardens in Glasgow’s West End, 10 minutes from the city centre.

AMANO Hotel coming to London
Berlin-based AMANO Group will be opening its first hotel outside Germany this Spring – in London. Hotel AMANO Covent Garden will be a new boutique lifestyle hotel in Covent Garden’s Drury Lane.
AMANO promises to bring the ‘cool and vibrant energy of Berlin to the heart of London’. Located on Covent Garden’s Drury Lane, the new boutique lifestyle hotel is the first of multiple AMANO hotels set to open in London.
Formerly a 1980s office building known as Drury House, AMANO Covent Garden will have 141 bedrooms across a range of budgets: cosy, comfy and roomy. AMANO Covent Garden will also include a basement bar, restaurant, sky bar and rooftop terrace with city views.
A Spring 2022 opening is anticipated for AMANO Covent Garden.

Experimental Group planning new London hotel
The French-based Experimental Group, which operates the Henrietta hotel in London's Covent Garden, has revealed plans to open four to five new hotels in London and the countryside. The group already has six hotels across Europe in Paris, Verbier, Menorca, Venice as well as in London.
Experimental Group’s expansion plans also include New York City and America’s West Coast.
Henrietta Hotel is located in Henrietta Street Henrietta Hotel just off Covent Garden Market and close to The Strand. It has 40 bedrooms, an Italian restaurant and a bar.
