LEVEN Manchester opens
LEVEN Manchester is a new lifestyle hotel which has just opened in a converted warehouse building on the corner of Chorlton and Canal Streets in the centre of Manchester.
LEVEN Manchester has upgraded the features of the warehouse including its red brick walls, Crittall windows, high ceilings, exposed brickwork and timber floors.
LEVEN Manchester has 42 bedrooms all with the latest facilities, some with stand-alone bathtubs and full kitchens.
LEVEN Manchester has a ground-floor café which becomes the bar later in the day. A subterranean ground-floor restaurant is planned to open in early to mid 2022.
LEVEN Manchester is a five minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly station.

Moxy Glasgow SEC officially open
Marriott Hotels Group has officially opened Moxy Glasgow SEC close to the Hydro SSE venue. It opened to coincide with the recent COP26 meeting hosted in Glasgow. It joins Moxy Glasgow Merchant City as the second Moxy hotel in the city.
Moxy Glasgow SEC has 243 bedrooms including 13 suites – all fully equipped with the latest in-room technology including superfast wi-fi and smart 42" smart TVs.
The décor throughout Moxy Glasgow SEC that pays homage to the many events taking place locally. Features include musical paraphernalia such as drumsticks hanging from the ceiling and old-style amplifiers and graffiti-clad walls.
Leisure facilities at Moxy Glasgow SEC include a communal space in the lobby for games and activities, including a snooker table, plus a 24-hour gym.
Food is served throughout the day starting with continental breakfast.
Moxy Glasgow SEC is located in Finnieston Street with the OVO Hydro multi-purpose indoor arena plus the Armadillo on its doorstep.

Moxy Manchester City opens December 2021
Moxy Manchester City is a new hotel set to open at a former hat factory in Spinningfields, Manchester in December 2021.
Moxy Manchester City will have 146 boutique bedrooms, communal areas designed for work and meetings, and a 24/7 food & beverage outlet offering snacks and drinks plus a coffee-shop-by-day-cocktail-bar-by night.
Moxy Manchester City is located in Atkinson Street in the heart of the city’s business district in central Manchester.

Plans approved for new Hotel in Blackpool
Plans have been approved to convert an 111-year-old former Post Office in Blackpool into a new hotel.
The Grade II-listed building in Abingdon Street Is set to become a 148-bedroom Hotel Indigo.
Many of the buildings original features are set to be retained and enhanced including the building’s façade, its stain glass windows and its eight red telephone boxes along the front of the building. The old Post Office and Sorting Office are separated by an interior courtyard, which is also set to be transformed.
The new development will combine a Hotel Indigo and an Indigo Suites. The Indigo Suites will feature more spacious rooms and will include additional facilities including a kitchenette.
Hotel Indigo Blackpool is located in Abingdon Street in the centre of Blackpool, a short walk from Blackpool North station.

Raffles Hotel coming to London
The Old War Office building on Whitehall in central London is to reopen probably in late 2022 as the first Raffles-branded hotel in the UK.
Raffles London at The OWO will operate as a 120 bedroom and suites flagship hotel along with a collection of 85 branded residences.
Raffles London at The OWO will also feature nine distinct restaurants and bars, an immersive spa with a 20-metre indoor pool and separate vitality pool, plus a 620 seated-capacity grand ballroom.
The Old War Office opened in 1906 since when it has witnessed world-shaping events whilst influential political and military leaders including Winston Churchill, H H Asquith, David Lloyd George and John Profumo held office. It is located opposite Horse Guards on Whitehall, a stone’s throw from St James’s Park and the Mall in central London.

Brewdog to open second Scottish Hotel
Scottish-based brewers, Brewdog, are planning to open a second hotel in Scotland - in Edinburgh.
Doghouse Edinburgh Hotel will join BrewDog’s Aberdeen Kennels Hotel which opened in 2019.
Doghouse Edinburgh Hotel will occupy the former site of the Canongate Hotel. It will have 20 bedrooms with the standard Brewdog features including shower beers to draft beer taps. The main bar will be located on the ground floor with a Terrace Bar on the first floor. Doghouse Edinburgh Hotel will also be serving tea and coffee as well as offering a 24-hour refreshment package.
Brewdog’s latest hotel opening was the Doghouse Manchester. It opened in April of this year with 18 bedrooms.
The Doghouse Edinburgh will be located on East Market Street, close to Waverley station.
