Accor Hotel group has just opened a dual-branded Ibis and Ibis Budget hotel located close to Heathrow’s Terminal 5.

The building previously operated as the Travelodge Heathrow Terminal 5. The hotel has since been renovation and has now reopened as a dual branded Ibis and Ibis Budget hotel.

The new hotel now has 56 new Ibis bedrooms and 241 Ibis Budget rooms, all of which have been fully renovated. Both hotels share Charlie’s Corner bar and restaurant on the ground floor.

The new Ibis hotel is situated on Calder Way, just west of the Poyle Interchange at junction 14 of the M25.

Dalata Hotel Group is planning to open the new Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre on 5th January 2022.

Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre will be a four-star hotel with 329 air-conditioned Deluxe and Executive bedrooms, a 24-hour fitness suite. The hotel will serve modern British cuisine in No.55 Restaurant & Bar.  

Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre will have five flexible meeting rooms all with natural daylight and all equipped with the latest technology. The largest suite – the Piccadilly – will seat up to 149 delegates theatre style.

Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre is located in Portland Street in the heart of the city - an 8-minute walk to Manchester Piccadilly Station and a five-minute walk to Piccadilly Gardens.

Hilton Birmingham Metropole has just opened its ‘new-look’ conference and events facilities, part of the hotel’s multi-million-pound refurbishment.

Hilton Birmingham Metropole encompasses 6,000sq-mt of meeting and events facilities divided into three separate and distinctive areas featuring 31 events spaces ranging from small boardrooms to expansive ballrooms, the largest of which can host up to 2,000 guests.

The bedrooms at Hilton Birmingham Metropole also have a new look. Three new bar and restaurant concepts featuring Birmingham’s rich heritage and industrial background complete the refurbishment programme.

The remainder of the refurbishment programme at Hilton Birmingham Metropole is due for completion in early 2022.

Hilton Birmingham Metropole is located next to the NEC and Birmingham International station, ten minutes from Birmingham International Airport with good access to the M42 - and M6 and is just 11 miles from the centre of Birmingham and a short drive from the headquarters of Choice Locations.

Two luxury hotels in London are both about to undergo an extensive renovation. The hotels are the London Hilton on Park Lane and The Ritz London.

London Hilton on Park Lane will see a renovation of its first floor in 2022. This will include a contemporary new design for the hotel’s Grand Ballroom.

Work is expected to start in the early New Year with completion planned by Easter 2022.

London Hilton on Park Lane has 453 bedrooms and suites, over 2000 sq-mt of meeting and events space with 16 meeting rooms plus a sky bar and restaurant on the 28th floor.

London Hilton on Park Lane opened in 1963 and was the first Hilton to open in the UK. It overlooks Hyde Park and is within half a mile of Green Park and Buckingham Palace.

 

The Ritz London, now under new ownership, is about to embark on a £300million refurbishment project.  A new five-storey basement is planned which will include a two-level spa with swimming pool, gym, steam room, sauna, treatment rooms and beauty salon.

In addition, The Ritz London is adding 53 bedrooms in a roof level extension of the main building. This will take the number of bedrooms at The Ritz London to 191.

The above is phase one of the refurbishment and is expected to complete in around 2026. A second phase will follow which will see the main building fully refurbished.

The Ritz London is located at 150 Piccadilly in the heart of the city.

Plans have been published to build a new hotel at Warwick Castle on the site of a former car park.

The new hotel would be a two-storey building with 60 bedrooms plus a new restaurant also earmarked in the development.

Warwick Castle is a medieval castle developed from a wooden fort, originally built by William the Conqueror during 1068. 

A planning application is expected in early 2022.

YOTEL Manchester Deansgate has just opened in the centre of Manchester. It is a rebranding of the former Qbic Hotel on the corner of Deansgate and John Dalton Street.
